The critics have announced their winners. The Critics’ Choice Awards have just wrapped up, and the wins are being appreciated everywhere. The wins for this award were not as surprising, but are all well deserved. Below is a summary of everything that unfolded in the show.
Oppenheimer is continuing its streak in its award run, winning 8 awards at the show. Christopher Nolan, and Robert Downey Jr won at their respective categories, but Cillian Murphy missed out on a Best Actor win. Beating him was Paul Giamatti, winning his first ever Critic’s Choice Award in that category. Barbie had a spectacular night at the event, winning 6 awards. The movie picked up best Comedy, and America Ferrera won the #SeeHer Award.
Harrison Ford was honored with the Career Achievement Award, for his esteemed contribution to Hollywood cinema.
Beef is continuing to dominate every other series in the TV category, with leads Ali Wong and Steven Yeun picking up their respective lead awards. Beef and The Bear tied in number of wins, each winning 4 awards. Succession maintained its streak of wins, in the same categories it won last year.
